The Villages Regional Hospital (TVRH), part of Central Florida Health Alliance, has been serving patients in Lake, Sumter and Marion Counties for more than 11 years. Located in the heart of America's largest retirement development—The Villages, FL—our acute care hospital was designed to bring hospitality to health care.
TVRH has received The Joint Commission's Gold Seat of Approval™ for healthcare quality and safety in hospitals and was recognized by Modern Healthcare as the fastest growing hospital in the nation in 2012. Our services include premier orthopedic care, interventional cardiology, emergency, neurosurgery and the world-renowned Moffitt Cancer Center.
Our hospital has seen tremendous growth over the last decade, creating space for new services and programs while ensuring that we have the latest surgical and diagnostic technology available to meet the ever changing health care needs of those communities we serve. And here we grow again! In 2013, The Villages Regional Hospital announced a $50-million expansion project, which will include a north tower with 100 new patient beds, a larger emergency room and more operating rooms. The addition is projected to be completed in January 2015.
