Rehabilitation services at UF Health The Villages® Hospital are designed to relieve pain or discomfort from an injury or illness; improve the function, strength and mobility of individuals battling a disability or debilitating disease; and help restore physical, cognitive and neurological abilities impaired by trauma or illness.
We use a hands-on approach to help patients attain the most functional level of independence possible. Our specially trained team of rehabilitation professionals works diligently to provide customized treatment programs for each patient. We provide inpatient and outpatient services, with a variety of treatments and specialized care.
Rehabilitation services include:
- Physical therapy.
- Occupational therapy.
- Speech and language pathology.
- Stroke rehabilitation.
- Amputee rehabilitation.
- Respiratory therapy.
- Lymphedema therapy.
- Balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
- Pulmonary rehabilitation.
For patients with a prescription for outpatient therapy, please print and fill out the Past Medical History Form and Outpatient Therapy Summary List before your appointment. Be sure to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and arrive early.
